Functional dream kitchen
This couple embarked on a quest across Denmark to find the perfect supplier for their new kitchen. Their search led them to HTH Lyngby, where they received expert assistance in designing their dream kitchen that combines functionality and style.
"We brought our vision to life"
Functionality, spaciousness, and light were the guiding principles for the couple during the renovation of their villa. The kitchen, situated in a new extension with an impressive ceiling height of five and a half meters, perfectly embodies these concepts. Despite the industrial materials used, the acoustics are impeccable, thanks to the couple's choice of efficient and visually appealing acoustic ceilings.
The couple personally designed every aspect of the house, paying meticulous attention to even the smallest details. Functionality was the driving force behind the kitchen's design. Utilizing materials like Corian, burnished steel, and Black Oak, the couple achieved their vision.
They highlight the advantages of each material: Corian is low-maintenance, Black Oak hides greasy fingerprints well, and burnished steel, despite requiring more care, possesses a captivating beauty that evolves over time, telling a unique story.
Functional interior design
Handleless design with vh-7
The couple's kitchen island showcases HTH's distinctive VH-7 handle groove design, complemented by a two-drawer appearance. The VH-7 handle groove provides convenient access to the top drawers, while the bottom drawers feature soft-push and motor installation, effortlessly opening with a gentle push.
Interior design with contrasting elements
The kitchen island features a sleek white Corian worktop, complemented by white VH-7 handle grooves and the elegant Focus White front. To create a cohesive look with the black cabinet wall in Focus Black Oak, they have selected a black Quooker tap and a matching sink. The contrasting colours and materials add a stylish touch to the overall design.
Illuminate Your Kitchen with Style and Functionality
The couple's attention to detail is evident in their choice of two exquisite wall lamps in the kitchen, providing optimal work lighting. The timeless Lampe Gras design, renowned for its functionality and industrial aesthetic since the 1920s, beautifully complements the steel worktop, adding a touch of classic elegance to the space.
"We have thoroughly explored numerous kitchen retailers across Denmark."
The couple conducted extensive research before finalizing their exclusive kitchen design.
"We visited practically every kitchen retailer in Denmark - from Hillerød to Herning. However, it was Usman Akhtar from HTH Lyngby who won the project. He stood out by listening, understanding, and providing valuable guidance without overselling. This was crucial for a DIY designer like me," the couple explains.
"While many salespeople tried to push unnecessary features, Usman focused on our desires and ideas. He helped us bring everything together and ensured that we stayed within our budget. His approach was to prioritize visible elements, which was a great decision."

Unique worktop design
The couple took charge of designing the unique kitchen island, including the sink, just like every other aspect of their villa. They aimed for a balanced design, as they believe it should be.
"The kitchen island exemplifies the balance I envisioned," the couple explains. "On the side facing the living area, it appears solid and robust, while on the side facing the windows, it has a light and airy look."
The worktop is crafted from Corian, an exquisite material that seamlessly blends together, making the seams invisible. This enables the creation of unique solutions and ensures a cohesive result.
Throughout the design process, several kitchen designers tried to convince them to utilize the space under the worktop facing the living area with a cabinet. However, they stood her ground and achieved the clean aesthetic they are extremely satisfied with today.

Thoughtful kitchen floor plan
The kitchen in the villa is seamlessly connected to the living room, yet elegantly separated by a raised ceiling height. As an extension to the original house, it offers breathtaking views of the surrounding natural beauty.
The central kitchen island is strategically positioned perpendicular to the wall housing the cooking area and refrigerator/freezer cabinets. This layout ensures that the different workstations within the spacious kitchen remain within close proximity to one another.
The couple's careful research on the most practical layout has paid off. "In our kitchen, we never feel crowded or get in each other's way. There is ample space for multiple people to work simultaneously. It functions incredibly well."

Interior design with thoughtful details
The couple has infused their functional kitchen with a myriad of stunning details that add character and personality to the raw space. Throughout the design process, they received invaluable guidance from their kitchen expert, Usman Akhtar from HTH Lyngby.
They initially considered installing a traditional cabinet in the corner. However, Usman provided a fresh perspective, advising them to familiarize themselves with the kitchen first. He suggested finding a unique piece of furniture that could bring personality to the space, with the option to add a cabinet later if desired. This thoughtful guidance allowed them to explore alternative options and create a truly distinctive kitchen design.
