At HTH, our commitment is to ensure you receive tailored assistance from a dedicated kitchen expert who will work with you to craft the kitchen of your dreams, brimming with intelligent solutions. To streamline this journey, we've curated a user-friendly guide to aid you in sketching out your envisioned kitchen space. This invaluable resource serves as a cornerstone for our design process, guaranteeing that every detail is meticulously considered, resulting in a home that is flawlessly suited to your needs and preferences.
Guide to measuring
Begin your kitchen planning journey by crafting a basic sketch of your kitchen space, incorporating all essential measurements. This foundational step empowers our kitchen experts to provide you with an accurate pricing estimate and facilitates a seamless design process. Your sketch need not be professional-grade; clarity and simplicity are paramount. Our dedicated team will guide you through refining your sketch to ensure it perfectly aligns with your vision.
While it may seem like a small step, it plays a pivotal role in streamlining the entire process, guaranteeing a smoother experience from start to finish.
Step 1. Draw the proportions of the room
Draw the general proportions of the room as a simple floor plan, including length, width and height. Download a measurement sketch if needed.
Make sure to include any niches and other features that affect the shape of the room. Feel free to supplement your sketch with images of the room and details.
Step 2. Add any other important details
- Include the location of doors, windows, arched openings, etc. on the sketch.
- Also mark where the existing sink is located.
- Include any structural details such as columns, load-bearing walls, drains, water pipes, gas lines or electrical cables - anything that may affect where the kitchen can be placed.
Step 3: Write down the measurements
Do you already have some ideas?
Most people already have an idea of what they want their new kitchen to look like, where they want their appliances and what features they want. Feel free to write this down on the sketch, noting where you'd like to place various appliances such as fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher, etc. and also where you'd like the sink.
The kitchen expert may recommend a completely different solution, but at least they'll know what you want to achieve and can help you get as close to your goal as possible.
